What’s in Store for Team India in September

India’s ongoing West Indies Tour is one of the popular events in cricket this August. The tour continues to make international cricket news, along with other cricket tournaments like the Ashes 2019 series.

The tour started on August 3, almost a month after the Cricket World Cup finals match between New Zealand and England. India was a semi-finalist of the recent Cricket World Cup. The team was busy with the World Cup since late May this year.

This August, India is busy with their West Indies Tour. The teams will play in all three cricket formats to fans’ excitement. The T20 series of the tour was dominated by India. This puts the team to a very good start. India’s West Indies Tour will end on September 3.

India will only have twelve days of rest before their next cricket activity in September. South Africa’s tour of India 2019 will kick off on September 15. The tour of the South African cricket team will continue until October 23. India and South Africa will play three T20Is and three Tests for the tour. South Africa is already scheduled for another tour of India in 2020 as well.

The upcoming Test matches of the South Africa tour are a part of the new ICC World Test Championship 2019-21. The squad lineups for both teams are yet to be revealed.

In a span of about five months, Team India has played in a Cricket World Cup and became Away and Home Teams for two separate cricket tours. Right now, the team is busy with their ongoing West Indies Tour. India may have won the T20 series of the tour but Team West Indies is ready for their counterattack on the tour’s ODI series.
