Haryana colleges still to accept online applications only

May 05’ 2015, Panchkula Haryana: Four degree colleges are there in Panchkula Haryana and comprising these colleges, all colleges of Haryana started online admissions regardless of all the issues they faced in the previous year admissions.

Only the new students who are willing to take admissions in the 1^st year of under-graduate and post-graduate programmes can use the online procedure of applying for the admissions confirmed by the spokesperson from higher education department. No prospectus printed in the current year similar to previous year.

Also he confirmed that the authorized bank for the online payment will be State Bank of Patiala. On reference to the bank recommendation as a Bill Desk, an aggregator will be purchased so that the fees and other funds can be deposited on more than 47 banks form the list of nationalized banks in India. The cash payment on account of fees and funds will only be deposited in the cash counters of State Bank of Patiala only. Aadhar Card and Bank Account Number will be mandatory to be filled over form under this process and the admission application form will have the space to fill these details.

The spokesman from higher education department also confirmed that the principals of all the colleges in Haryana are directed to get the student’s details completed for batch 2014-15 studying in first year and second year before promoting them to the next session. For the payment of next year fees and other dues from the existing students, college authority will generate an e-challan by clicking on the “confirmed button” on their system and with the help of e-challan, the fees can be paid in the referred banks.

Under the Earn While You Learn Scheme, principals are directed to choose at-least 10 senior students to upload the admission application forms and in return they will be getting paid Rs 15 per uploading of an admission form.

The admission application form uploading will take place from June 08’ 2015 and the last date for the normal admission will be June 30’ 2015.

Procedure to apply online

For all the students who are applying online will have to take the print-out of admission application form along with hard copies of all the documents concerning educational records, brother-sister concession, reservation, and weight-age. The hard copies of all these documents should be deposited into the concerned colleges after self-attesting and taking the signatures of parents or guardians.

Higher education department also directed the principals to get Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox installed in their systems for online admissions. The principals are also authorised to download admission application form to directly distribute the blank forms to the students in case of broken server or massive lane of applicants. After filling the form completely by the applicants and attaching all the relevant documents, the forms need to be submitted back to the same college. And these details from the form and attached documents will be uploaded by the assigned team of senior students online in college’s systems.

Issues faced by the colleges during admission in previous year

·         Not each and every college in Haryana managed to purchase data cards and web cams to support online procedure of admission.

·         Admission application forms have been submitted by the students without filling it completely and also the same were accepted by the colleges.

·         Due to massive applications, the online server always found broken down which fails the online procedure

·         For the affiliating universities, all the information and guidelines to fill the form were on the second page of the form. So many applicants were not gone through the guidelines which again brought the flaw in complete details.
