In Char Dham yatra, devotees visit the four Hindu religious places in Uttarakhand state of India. Between the Char Dhams, Yamunotri and Gangotri are devoted to goddesses Yamuna and Ganga correspondingly. On the other hand, Kedarnath is devoted to Lord Shiva whereas Badrinath is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Besides this, people also travel to Hemkund Sahib in the neighborhood, which is one of the highest situated religious places in the country. Therefore, pilgrims visit all these places in aspiration of washing away their sins and to attain salvation, by the blessings of the Lord.
