Sharing a true experience of trekking to Holy Amarnath Shrine. I am a travel photographer who loves adventure. As travel photography is my passion, it takes me to the roller coaster of destination. From luxury hotels with Royal treatment to sleeping on that back yard of villages in India and Nepal, I have had experienced.

I had chances to lead the group for Ulltimate Travels. And I have led couple of trekking tours to Holy Amarnath Shrine. Starting from Pahalgam, the entire stretch for Amarnath cave by trek could be done in 3 nights.

Being a travel photographer, I tend to stop to admire the beauty of mother nature and capture the beauty through my Canon. Therefore, every trek that I have lead for Amarnath yatra trekking tour, I have done it in 4 nights i.e Chandanwari to Baltal base camp.

One can drive from Pahalgam to Chandanwari for Amarnath Trekking. Chandanwari is the place where your Amarnath Yatra Permits are going to be checked by Police Authorities and volunteers for Amarnath Yatra nominated by shrine board.

Don’t be scared, You are not the only one who is visiting the holy shrine of Amarnath Ji. From newly born kids to old age people – ever hindu religion followers will be covering Amarnath Yatra by trek from Pahalgam Side. There are tents, free food at langar, medical assistance by CRPF. The entire stretch of this yatra is so much fun.

Amarnath yatra is known as toughest yatra but after seeing the motivation of other yatris and positive vibes makes this yatra so much more fun. Amarnath yatra by trek is the best way to make the way to abode of Lord shiva (Amarnath Cave).

And I recommend all the pilgrims and yatris to take the route of Pahalgam – Chandanwari – Amarnath Cave – Baltal. This is definitely the longer route but this is the original Amarnath yatra route . And also this is more easier route than Baltal.
